Embodied Gratitude: A Thanksgiving Workshop ~ November 18th 6-7:30pm
As the days grow shorter and we move toward the Thanksgiving holiday, I wanted to create space for us to slow down and embody gratitude in a meaningful way. Gratitude is connected to the heart chakra, and in this workshop we will open the heart to expand our capacity to feel gratitude at the deepest level of our being.
Through yoga, breathwork, and hands-on assists, you will experience more space in the heart for gratitude to flow. Meditation will support us slowing down enough to actually feel what we're thankful for in an embodied way, rather than just naming it. We will explore how gratitude lives in the body and notice what it feels like to both give and receive thanks.
The workshop will close with a daily gratitude practice I've done for years that helps me stay oriented toward gratitude no matter what is unfolding in my life and the world. Experience how gratitude is magnified when we practice in community.
Pricing
The workshop is $50. I take cash, check, or Venmo. With only ten spots available, registration for this event requires payment in advance. To prepay through Venmo, send payments to @Elizabeth-Bertram or email Betsy at Elizabeth.bertram1@gmail.com to arrange cash or check payment. I believe in this work being accessible - contact me if price is a barrier to learn more about scholarship opportunities.
Location
Craving Art Studio (121 Craven Street) Learn more about Heather Sink and Craving Art below.
Much gratitude to Heather Sink, owner of the Craving Art Studio for hosting us!
Heather, a native of Britain, was fortunate to end up in the coastal town of Beaufort with her husband. After teaching art to students in the North Carolina public schools for many years and raising two children she decided to focus on her own art work.
Heather belonged to two Plein Air groups in England and has continued to paint her surroundings in the many places she has lived. Fortunately, the coastal light and area offer an abundance of subject matter to paint. She loves learning and takes workshops from artists that inspire her.
Heather loves to teach and work with other artists. Her desire to create and connect with the community has made Craving Art Studio a wonderful studio to work and share her love of art with others.
