Join Betsy Bertram for this restorative yoga workshop designed to open and nurture your body's seven energy centers—the chakras—from root to crown.
Your chakras are like spinning wheels of energy that run along your spine, each one connected to different aspects of your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. When these energy centers are balanced and flowing freely, you feel more grounded, creative, confident, loving, expressive, intuitive, and connected to something greater than yourself.
In this workshop, you'll experience restorative yoga poses specifically sequenced to awaken and harmonize each chakra, along with guided breathwork and hands-on assists to deepen your connection to these vital energy pathways.
Restorative yoga is a passive, meditative practice that helps release deep-held tension through gentle poses supported with props and held for five minutes or more. This slower pace allows you to drop beneath the busy mind, tune into the subtle energies within your body, and experience full-body rejuvenation from the inside out.
Whether you're new to the chakra system or looking to deepen your understanding, this workshop offers a nurturing space to explore your inner landscape and restore balance to body, mind, and spirit.
You will receive handouts with information on each of the chakras at the end of the workshop.
Much gratitude to Heather Sink, owner of the Craving Art Studio for hosting us!
Heather, a native of Britain, was fortunate to end up in the coastal town of Beaufort with her husband. After teaching art to students in the North Carolina public schools for many years and raising two children she decided to focus on her own art work.
Heather belonged to two Plein Air groups in England and has continued to paint her surroundings in the many places she has lived. Fortunately, the coastal light and area offer an abundance of subject matter to paint. She loves learning and takes workshops from artists that inspire her.
Heather loves to teach and work with other artists. Her desire to create and connect with the community has made Craving Art Studio a wonderful studio to work and share her love of art with others.
