Let The Light In

Let The Light In

A Spring Ayurveda Retreat to Connect & Replenish
April 23rd ~ April 26th in Beaufort North Carolina

Join Ivy Ingram & Betsy Bertram on the beautiful North Carolina coast

Spring can bring a welcome uplift of new energy, fresh ideas, and an impulse to connect - yet in this moment of global conflict, many of us may feel heavy, worried, or disconnected.

This retreat will light up our spring energy, build a sense of inner peace, and remind us of our power to nourish ourselves so we can take meaningful action in our lives.

According to Ayurveda, spring is the season when Kapha dosha rises...

The dry cold of winter makes way for the melting moisture of spring with the promise of warmth in the air. However, if there is too much Kapha, the onslaught of liquid heaviness can leave us feeling sluggish, congested or unmotivated.

KAPHA ITSELF IS NOT THE PROBLEM.

When balanced, Kapha is the very force that gives us stability, immunity, patience, and a loving heart. It is the grounded presence that allows us to nurture and to persevere - so long as we keep it warm and moving.

Living in tune with Spring is not about fighting Kapha dosha, but about stimulating and uplifting it.  It's about adding more LIGHT so Kapha's steadiness becomes resilience, and its moisture becomes compassion, rather than stagnation.

Come discover how to support Kapha and its gifts of immunity and emotional steadiness — the quiet glow that allows us to feel nourished from within.

Held by the rhythm of the intracoastal waterways, this retreat invites you to refill what has been depleted and remember the well of strength that lives beneath the surface.

This retreat is an ideal way to lighten your energy and comfort your spirit.

  • Rejuvenate with morning yoga and pranayama outside, and sunset gazing from the roof deck

  • Discover Ayurvedic wisdom to help navigate this intense time on our planet with equanimity

  • Clarify intentions for your daily life with a sunrise Vedic fire ceremony

  • Get messy with hands-on art projects to ignite your inner creative spark

  • Open your heart and free your voice with chanting and joyful kirtan singing

  • Enjoy delicious organic Ayurvedic meals made with locally grown fresh produce and LOVE by Betsy, our own Ayurveda chef extraordinaire

  • Enjoy free time to indulge in whatever restores you ~ receive a massage, kayak the intracoastal waterway, enjoy the cute town, or take time alone to rest

Each practice has been chosen to both energize and replenish — to create brightness and heal exhaustion. Together we will awaken prāṇa while stabilizing our energy.

Revitalizing organic spring foods prepared according to Ayurvedic principles will gently kindle our digestion, leaving us feeling light and energized, with kitchen inspirations to take home.

Creative art sessions woven throughout the weekend offer space for integration and play. Color, texture, sound, breath, and movement become pathways back to your own inner ocean — vast, rhythmic, and sustaining.

You will leave feeling clearer, steadier, and quietly luminous, with practical tools to protect and cultivate your spirit long after the tide recedes.
